As I said in my last post, I’m appalled at the level of racism and bigotry in these United States and throughout the world.  I’m ashamed of my white ancestors, I’m offended by their actions and can’t conceive what moral or ethical values they thought they possessed when they would consider another race of human beings inferior to themselves. What direction will music take, where will it lead us?  I look back at the way my parents felt about the music I listened too, and wonder is that why I feel the way I feel about the music of today.  I thought I was very open minded about most things in life, but today’s music just doesn’t interest me much. First and foremost I decided to push myself and launch this blog today to honor my grandfather.  Tootie as everyone called him would’ve been 92 years old today, he passed on 12 years ago.  I won’t get into the details of his life today, but someday in the future.  All I would like to say is that I miss him, plain and simple.  Now on to the real issue, how we die. Today I will embark on a new journey, today I will expose myself to the masses, today I will try my hand at composing a blog.  I’ve been contemplating this task for almost a year and have decided it’s time to stop procrastinating and jump in with both feet and see where it takes me.  One of my life’s great passions has always been writing and the ultimate goal of TheMotleyView is to keep its audience captivated with the never ending topics that shape and influence each and every one of us on a daily basis.
